It offers excellent restaurants with a wide variety of food choices, ice cream, handmade candy, a variety of shops and art galleries, as well as outfitter companies that provide bike and gear rentals. FeelLove Coffee! A local and personal favorite
Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon NP is approximately 90 minutes from our cabin. If time allows, this park offers yet another spectacular canyon environment to explore; with otherworldly stone pinnacles, spires, and sculptures that showcase amazing colors.
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
Located in Kanab, the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is home-between-homes to an average of 1600 animals; including dogs, cats, bunnies, horses, pigs, farm animals, assorted wildlife, and more. This unique refuge offers tours, volunteer opportunities, and sponsorship options - if you are an animal lover, this may be a special and memorable way to spend a day making a difference! Call ahead or visit their website to arrange details for your time there.
Grafton Ghost Town
Located just west and south of Springdale, Grafton is a wonderful glimpse into history. Originally settled in 1859, the old townsite is still home to a few of the original houses and buildings, as well as the cemetery, which tells the story of pioneer life.
From the town of Rockville on Hwy 9, head south on Bridge Lane, which crosses the Virgin River on a historic, single track iron bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow the road west along the base of the cliff band (do not take the Smithsonian Butte turnoff). Bridge Lane will curve back to the south, becoming a smaller, unpaved road which roughly parallels the river for another 2 miles, before arriving at the ghost town.
Please treat the area with care and respect, as this is an irreplaceable part of our history.
